House V+C is a built renovation in Bruges, Belgium, transforming the upper two floors of an existing townhouse into a contemporary family home while preparing the ground floor for a future medical practice. The intervention involved a complete gut renovation of the upper levels: floors were removed, walls were fully insulated, the roof was entirely restructured, and the façade carefully restored in line with the architectural character of the neighborhood. The living spaces are positioned on the first floor, with bedrooms above and the master suite located at the rear, creating a clear domestic hierarchy away from the street. A central vertical spine organizes the house, connecting all levels and establishing strong visual relationships between spaces. This circulation core introduces a subtle split-level and loft-like quality, allowing light, depth, and movement to define the interior experience. The architecture remains restrained and humble on the exterior, while inside the focus lies on spatial clarity, proportion, while staying true to the original. All project illustrations and representations were developed in-house as part of the design process.
